Bijoy Youth Group (BYG) is the primary source of advice, guidance and support for to Black & Ethnic Minorities community’s children, their families and others like the elderly or the disabled, living in and around London Boroughs of Tower Hamlets and Hackney. The BYG was established in 1999 in response to clearly identified needs and with the support of many Black & Ethnic Minorities community families in the area of Hackney and Tower Hamlets in London.

Bijoy Youth Group is the most effective network for the sharing and exchange of experience, transferring skills and building the collective strength of this ethnic minority’s community. It works hard to be as representative as possible of local ethnic minority communities, using common issues and inspirations to develop a partnership of equals, building trust, respect and confidence across the communities. The Bijoy Management Committee works with many similar organizations and has representatives on the Committee from such organizations as Thames Bengali Association, and Nusra International. It maintains partnerships separately with organizations working for young people and aged population.
